Acceptable Use Policy
This Policy sets out the standards and restrictions that apply to all users of LexNeethi AI. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Purpose
LexNeethi AI is designed to help advocates, legal teams and citizens navigate Indian law responsibly. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) protects the integrity of the Service, the safety of users, and third parties.
2. Prohibited content
You must not use the Service to generate, upload, transmit, or store any content that:
- is unlawful under the laws of India or under the laws of any other jurisdiction from or to which the content is transmitted;
- infringes intellectual-property, publicity or privacy rights of any third party;
- contains child sexual abuse material or is otherwise harmful to minors;
- promotes terrorism, violent extremism, hate speech, or discrimination on the basis of religion, race, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality;
- constitutes malware, spyware, ransomware or any other malicious code;
- attempts to deceive courts, tribunals, regulators or third parties, including through fabricated citations or forged documents;
- contains personal, financial or sensitive information of any third party for which you do not have the necessary consents.
3. Prohibited activities
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code, models, weights or training data of the Service.
- Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the Service, except through APIs we officially expose to you.
- Circumventing usage limits, quotas, authentication, rate-limits, security controls, or access mechanisms.
- Impersonating another person, misrepresenting your affiliation with an organisation or with LexNeethi.
- Reselling, sublicensing or providing the Service to third parties without our prior written consent.
- Using the Service to train, fine-tune or evaluate a competing AI system.
4. Professional-conduct obligations
Users who are advocates enrolled with a State Bar Council or Bar Council of India must ensure their use of the Service complies with the Advocates Act, 1961 and the BCI Rules on Standards of Professional Conduct and Etiquette, including rules against advertising, solicitation and disclosure of privileged communications.
5. Client confidentiality
You are responsible for obtaining any consents required from your clients before uploading matter-related material to the Service. Where possible, redact personal identifiers and sensitive information before submission.
6. Fair usage
Certain plans are described as “unlimited” subject to fair usage. Fair usage means normal, professional, non-abusive consumption. LexNeethi may notify you and temporarily throttle or suspend access if we detect usage patterns that materially exceed those of other users on the same plan.
7. Reporting misuse
If you become aware of any misuse of the Service, security vulnerability or unlawful content, please report it to abuse@lexneethi.com.
8. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspension or permanent termination of your account, in addition to any other remedies available under law or contract. We may also cooperate with law-enforcement authorities where required.
